**Need some help with glazes.** Posted: 1/26/2012 7:58:01 PM

Hello I am new to pottery (started last September). The reason I started was because I had to choose an art class and it was ether pottery or take "paint and draw" type of art with a crazy teacher. So I choose pottery and I love it. The problem I am having though is my final project for the class. We had to make a totem pole and choose what animals and any other things we wanted on it. Me being a supporter of Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) I chose a fin whale, orca, seal and shark. It turned out very well considering I have only been doing this for a few months (the only bad thing that happened was the orcas tail cracked a bit).

The problem I have is the choices of glazes. The colors at my school are so limited and since I cannot mix the glazes (I found that out the hard way) I cannot do what I would like with my work. Does anyone know where I purchase some glazes or are there other options (e.g. special paint).

P.S. I’m starting college in about a month so I kind of tight on money and the cheaper the glaze the better.
