Alision's Crowns

Spring 2006

A bowl I made for my friend for her birthday. Her birthday is mid-March, and I associate that time with daffoldils. She's in love with crowns and I realized they kinda look like daffodils! SO the inside is growing crown daffodils while the outside has a modern crown symbol all around. I put a quote (madonna style HA) we used to sing as kids on the side. These details were made by carving away at a white slip on greenware before bisque firing then dipping in an umber glaze before glaze firing.
