Ganster Hold Up

This piece was made from my own design, using the hand form techinque - Pictures coming from my head and then sculturing them. This was entered in the Sydney Royal Easter Show Last year 2005. It's a extremely hard show to get your pieces in and be accepted. To have this piece excepted in was a great honor. Thousands of people flock to the show each year. This was done in Raku white clay, and done in undeglaze powder and glazed in a clear.

Well, I have done this year's pieces for the Easter show thought you would like to see them. No Moulds are used and are created from me using Paperclay, underglazes.. Please keep in mind I do not have any qualifications with Tafe, this is only a hobby. so if I can do it, so you can you.

The work I've been doing for the past fifteen years evolved from my earlier three-dimensional wall sculptures. I arrange parallelogram-shaped tiles into architectural compositions that have a trompe l'oeil illusion of three-dimensional form. In the past several years I have continued to explore the transformation of what we see vs. what exists: the visual illusion of my pieces has been transformed further by my "folding" the forms visually so that they look like actual three-dimensional objects existing in real space.
Process: After I roll out large slabs of clay, I texture them with found objects, including pieces of hardware and even such items as a printed circuit board, a Ping Pong paddle, a chrome "Kammback" from an old Chevrolet - the possibilities are endless. Then, when I cut the slabs into tiles, no two have the same textural designs. After the tiles are bisque-fired, I lay them out on the glaze table in the composition that will be their final shape. I copy my glaze design with pencil onto th

Raku with an attitude! Sophisticated, fun, whimsical raku ceramics by south Florida artist easily recognized by bold colors along with black and white patterns. Probably best known for her forms of shoes out of clay, she also creates forms of clocks, teapots,and vessels, etc.

Comic Man in a wooden tub
(
Mscreative9
)
Wooden tub with a man at his best - the fence panels have not been glazed, inside the rub is water covering certain parts of the man. On the side we have a man's best toys - a tyre, a few empty beer cans and a shoe. The sign says "no fishing" this guy needs help but looks like he is enjoying himself wouldnt you say. The clay is used in stonewear - the figure & water and pieces are glazed. Painted with underglazes.
